They have poor taste in typography.
See more lunacy here, but beware, they also have a shitty web designer who likes to use music.
h/t to Sarah Lloyd, who has eagle-eyes for Papy.

Firefly is a pretty great show, with a cult following that’s seriously dedicated. Unfortunately, they also use a certain questionable typeface for a lot of the publicity and copy. Here is an example of a topical t-shirt that I spied at Comicon. And while the idea of the shirt is pretty great (Remember the Battle of Serenity Valley), the execution is not awesome.
I have a big crush on Matthew Inman of the Oatmeal. He is a genius. In this comic, he shows his total internet prowess, by pointing out one egregious web design faux-pas that many vaguely-Asian-themed restaurants share:
Such love.
I’ve been doing a lot of research on Utah for work (don’t ask) and have recently been confronted by the realization that design for state parks, wildlife foundations, and other non-profits regarding stewardship must be super, super broke. Why? Because they can’t hire a design intern who knows better than this:
Eesh. Please donate your money to your local wildlife federation or state park, and with your pledge, attach a note explaining why. Because good design for non-profits is a sure way to make more money, build better trails, and save the animals.
